Man Up!

A wonderful thing happened to me while ministering in our “True Value of a Woman” conferences. While the women listened to information about their value I could see questions developing in their minds. One of the standard questions is who is training the men the way you are training us?

This is an interesting question since I’ve been speaking to men in Promise Keepers’ stadium events for over fifteen years and in my own ministry designed to advance men in the church called “Frontliners Men’s Ministry”. Both venues have helped many men.

But I understood the question and took note that they meant who was staying with these men to make sure they could handle the issues facing men in today’s world.

So, we have developed Man up!

This is a true mentoring program that will help a man learn from the success and failure of men who have gone before them. From a very young age men are placed in involvements where they are coached by little league coaches, middle and high school coaches, college coaches and military leaders.

But when a man comes to church he is usually told what to do and left to himself to figure it out. 

At Bethel we believe this is a bad model and is the reason why so many men fail in their Christian walk.
